Let’s make a Greek vase!

You need:

  • A place mat;
  • Clay or play dough;
  • A mug (at least 10 cm diameter);
  • Water;
  • Rolling pin;
  • Spatula.
  1. Stretch a portion of clay ona place mat by a rolling pin;
  2. Put a round mug on it and press it ;
  3. Cut the clay along the border of the mug by a spatula (this is the base of your vase!);
  4. Use the clay to make some snakes (1cm diameter), they must be as long as the perimeter of your vase;
  5. Place the first “snake” on the perimeter of the base, add some water to glue it;
  6. Place other 3 or 4 snakes on top of each other;
  7. Two snakes can become the handles of your vase;
  8. Decorate your vase by adding clay little balls;
  9. Let the vase dry off for at least 24 hours.
