\n\t\t\t\tPreserve and restore\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>[vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]After the catastrophic flood in 1966 Ren\u00e9 Maheu, the UNESCO General Director at that time, asked for an international help upon request of the Italian Government.
\nOver fifty private committees were created\u00a0 in different countries in response to this call. Their aim was to plan projects to promptly contribute to restoration works.<\/p>\n

International private committees are still collaborating with the National Archaeological Museum of Venice.<\/p>\n

Here are the most recent projects of preservation and restoration achieved by Patrizia Toson with the support of Save Venice Inc.<\/strong><\/a>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Portrait of Ptolomy III Euergetes (inventory nr 120), 3rd century BC, Greek marble, cm 20 x 43x 30, room 6.<\/strong>
